Event Overview
The first-ever Sunrise Open is a PDGA C-Tier event taking place at Sunrise Park Resort. Join us for
two days of disc golf on a brand-new mountain layout redesigned by Pete Ulibarri.
Schedule
• Saturday, September 20 – 1 round, tee times starting 9:00 AM
• Sunday, September 21 – 1 round, tee times starting 9:00 AM
• Practice available beginning Friday, September 19 (lift ticket required)
Registration
• AMs: $65 (includes $26 lift ticket pass-thru)
• Player’s pack: Discraft tournament disc + goodies
• PROs: $100 (includes $26 lift ticket pass-thru)
• Spectators: $19 one ride / $24 all-day
• All players: Unlimited lift access for the weekend
• Field cap: ~100 players
The Course – The Loam Giant
• Redesigned by Pete Ulibarri for 2025
• Elevation: 9,000–10,000 ft
• Ski run terrain with natural hazards (not cart friendly)
• Flypad tees (with dirt options where space allows)
• Baskets: Single-chain (temps may replace some)
Food & Lodging
• Food: Lunch available at Midway + Top of Mountain (Apache burgers & more)
Camping:
• $15/night tent
• $35/night RV (electric hookup)

Why Play the Sunrise Open?
This is the first PDGA event at Sunrise Park Resort, and the resort is looking at this as a
starting point for much bigger things. Let’s fill the field and help bring new baskets to the
mountain!
