Big Vertical. Real Downhill Racing.\nStarting at roughly 10,700 feet and descending to 9,200 feet, the pro-level courses deliver approximately 1,500 feet of vertical drop over nearly two miles of racing terrain.\n\nThis is not a short bike park sprint. Sunrise offers high-speed downhill tracks with natural terrain, elevation, rough sections, and room to let bikes truly open up.\n\nSeparate novice and youth-friendly courses will also be available, making the series approachable for newer racers and younger riders while still delivering a proper challenge for experienced gravity racers. Racers competing with a USA Cycling Category 1 upgrade, regardless of age, will race the more advanced expert/pro-level course. We also understand that USA Cycling categories and upgrades can sometimes be confusing, especially for newer families entering the sport, and we will gladly help racers make sure they are entered in the proper category and understand the upgrade process. If you have questions regarding categories or upgrades, please contact us ASAP so we can help get everything sorted before race weekend.\nphoto\n\nCategories range from ages 6–10 to Pro.\nPractice Saturday. Race Sunday.\nEach race weekend will feature:\nOpen practice on Saturday\nDownhill racing on Sunday\nAll race entries include full lift access for both Saturday and Sunday.\nThat pricing structure becomes even more impressive when looking at the youth categories.\nKids racing in the 6–10 age bracket cost only $40 — and that includes two full days of lift access, while the 11-14 only pay $120.\nphoto\n\nAffordable Race n Stay Packages\nSunrise Park Resort will also be offering Race n Stay packages that include:\nRace entry\nTwo days of lodging\nTwo days of lift access\nThe goal is simple: make downhill racing more accessible for families, weekend warriors, and racers traveling from across the Southwest.\n\n
